On Friday, June 19, 2009, all Mississauga LINC classes attended an annual picnic and participated in many fun activities. Check the album page for photos of our day at Mississauga Valley Park!

A second outing is planned for July 8, 2009 at Heartlake Park in Brampton; another day of fun under the sun!


LINC Information

As a multicultural non-profit organization, we provide free English classes to all eligible newcomers to Canada. Additionally, we provide bus tickets to students with special conditions or students living further than 3 km from the centre. Child-minding services are also available at no cost for children between the ages of 18 months and 5 years.

  • Refugee Claimant
  • LINC assessment level
    All prospective students for the LINC program need to have their English skills tested at an assessment centre before enrolling. Please call (905)891-3825 to book an appointment for testing at the nearest available centre.

Note: All Canadian citizens are not eligible for the LINC program; individuals must apply for ESL classes.
Who is eligible for Mississauga Transit Tickets?
  • Learners having medical assistance or a doctor's note
  • Learners who NEED help. Without Mississauga Transit assistance this learner cannot come to school.
  • Learners who live further than 3 KM away
  • Seniors and parents are eligible for transit assistance during the winter

    Requirements
    • Learners must collect transfers and will receive one ticket in exchange for one transfer each day that they attend the LINC program.
    • Learners are required to sign a Mississauga Transit Agreement.
    • Learners must attend school regularly and on time to receive tickets. If a learner is absent 5 days in a month without a doctor's note or the LPO's approval, assistance will cease until attendance improves.
    • In evening or weekend programs, 80% attendance is required.
    • Learners must be further than 3km distance from the centre
